Technical Tour 2:
Trunk Road T2 and Cha Kwo Ling Tunnel

Trunk Road T2 and Cha Kwo Ling Tunnel (“The Project”) form the middle section of Route 6. They connect the Central Kowloon Route (CKR) to the west and the main tunnel of the Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel (TKO-LTT) to the east. The project comprises 3.4 km of dual two‑lane trunk road, 3.1 km of which is in the form of tunnels. The tunnels will be constructed mainly by using two 14 m diameter Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) drilling concurrently.
