Engage certified workers to perform renovation or RMAA projects for guaranteed work quality and safety

Work safety and quality are critical considerations in home renovation and various RMAA projects.

>> What is Trade Test Qualifications?

The HKCITTC resembles the "examination authority" of the construction industry, which provides workers skill assessments with over 150 different trades. The HKCITTC provides independent and creditable trade testing services to comprehensively assess the skill levels of workers by written tests and practical tests, wide-ranging assessment areas including safety, preparation works before commencement of work, working procedures, accuracy and quality, handling and use of materials and equipment, and housekeeping after work, etc.

Workers, who pass both of the written test and the practical test with sufficient proven work experiences in relevant trades, are qualified to be awarded the corresponding trade test certificates. Therefore, certified workers with trade test qualifications are guaranteed to possess qualified technical skills as well as are widely recognised by the industry.

Trade test qualification is classified into 2 levels:

Intermediate Trade Test Certificate (Semi-skilled Worker)	Trade Test Certificate (Skilled Worker)
Awarded to certified competent workers with ability to perform construction works independently in the designated trade area	Awarded as professional recognition to workers with outstanding skills proficiency level in their designated trade area
