Intermediate Trade Tests for Construction-related E&M Trades


Construction Industry Council is responsible for implementing an intermediate trade testing and certification system for semi-skilled workers in the electrical and mechanical engineering trades for the construction industry.


Test Format and Test Fee

Anticipated Trade Test Waiting Time

# Waiting time would be around two to three months approximately



  • All Hong Kong residents, and
  • Holding a valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) or equivalent, and
  • Possessing at least 2 years’ proven work experience in relevant trade; or
  • Having accomplished (or else soon) recognised programmes/ courses of relevant trade (for details please refer to the Introduction to Trade Testing booklet (Chinese version), P.8)
